Lenten Words | Waiting

Though Advent is traditionally thought of as the season of waiting, this year I'm feeling a very similar tension present during Lent as well.

Waiting for those age old events on the Liturgical Calendar to take place...

...one by one as they always do.

But somehow... as if they were happening for the first time.

Waiting for the revealing symbolism of Palm Sunday

The feast with friends

The agonizing passion in the garden

The betrayal

The sentence

The death of deaths.

And more waiting...

Three long days.

Until. Until!

The dawn that carries the hope of mankind creeps over the horizon, and the glorious rays of the Son annihilates the darkness.
