It's always a bit of a hard thing: settling on the content for your very first post. I'm no stranger to the idea...I've started several blogs in my day. Windy Poplars: my first and my last (funny how things can come full circle, isn't it?), Living Graciously: a multi-writer blog with a short existence, and Vignettes: an attempt at reinventing myself in a totally new realm of the blogging world. I even attempted blogging on my photography website, but it never quite seemed the right place, and I was never able to write with the abandon and variety I would have liked. - While I loved them each for the time they held in my life, I feel like this re-birth deserved a completely blank canvas. And so here we are.
The name Ingleside is the name-elect of our new home-to-be (there's still time for my husband to use his veto). It reminds me to keep the faith through this difficult process of selling our home, moving to town, and hopefully building the next. We've got a long road ahead! Yes, it is a reference to Anne of Green Gables, as was the home we just sold, Windy Poplars - for which my former blog was named...
I've so desperately missed my writing and the community here in blogland, and am thrilled to be creating space in my life for it again. For those of you familiar with me as a writer, this will really just be more of the same... Rambly musings, pretty pictures, recipes, travel posts, quotes, local highlights, deep ponderings, our journey toward our new home, and whatever else strikes my fancy! The undulating theme: The Art of Slow Living. However, I am always and ever a tremendously diverse soul, and want my blog to reflect as much.
So without further ado: I declare this blog officially...OPEN!

Congrats on getting started! It's going to be a great road ahead. All the best. The hardest part is getting started! By the way, I love the name Ingleside!
